#4: Find a church, plug–in and hang on
Take advantage of all it has to offer: Regular services, classes, Bible studies, events, etc. Build relationships with others in the church; and if you have children or teens, get them plugged into the age-appropriate groups as well. It is also very important to serve in the church in some capacity. No one expects you to become a preacher, elder or board member right away, especially if you are not called by God to do so; what I’m saying is, learn to serve others: Make coffee, give rides to those who have no transportation, sweep the floor, cook, even clean the bathrooms; anything that puts you in to the service of others. Our goal should be to be more like Jesus, and he was the greatest servant
of all time.
Philippians 2: 4-8 “Each of you should look not only to your own interests but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made Himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled himself and became obedient to death- even death on a cross”. (The Message Bible)
